Dr. John Kao and Dr. Ronald Wallman lead MICPS with a strong commitment to providing quality cosmetic and plastic surgery care.
Dr. John Kao is a graduate of the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Medicine with an Honours degree in Physiology and the Plastic Surgery Program at the University of Toronto. He completed one year of surgical internship at the Wellesley Hospital at the University of Toronto. Following this, he spent 5 years of speciality training in Plastic Surgery at the University of Toronto. Dr. Kao has been practicing in his Markham clinic since 1998.
In addition, since 1998, Dr Kao has full-time privileges at Markham Stouffville Hospital as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon, as well as active privileges at MacKenzie Health Hospital, and Southlake Hospital. He is an active member of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Canadian Society of Aesthetic (Cosmetic) Plastic Surgery. He has attended many courses and seminars in order to keep up to date on the latest and best technology and skills required for excellent results on his patients.
Dr. Ron Wallman is a fully certified and experienced Plastic Surgeon who specializes in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Wallman is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario with a degree in Medicine. He completed one year of surgical internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital in London, Ontario. He then spent an additional four years of surgical training at the University of Western Ontario in the Plastic Surgical Program.
Following his graduation, Dr. Wallman became a Fellow of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons and a member of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Upon his graduation in 1991, Dr. Wallman accepted a position at Markham Stouffville Hospital as a Plastic Surgeon, and has been there ever since. He also has privileges at MacKenzie Health Hospital and Southlake Regional Hospital. Dr. Wallman continues to attend multiple seminars per year, learning the newest techniques in plastic surgery, taught by expert surgeons across the world.
Liz is one of the first points of contact at The Markham Plastic Surgery Clinic. She assists in coordinating patients’ care, including booking initial consultations with Dr. Kao. Liz has been working with Dr. Kao since his practice was first opened and shares his commitment to providing quality patient care.
Sharon is one of the first points of contact at The Markham Plastic Surgery Clinic. She assists in coordinating patients’ care, including booking initial consultation with Dr. Wallman.
Sue Riehl, RN, is the Nursing Care Manager of The Markham Institute of Cosmetic Plastic Surgery. Sue assists Dr. Kao and Dr. Wallman in the coordination of your surgery and is involved closely in both the pre and postoperative steps of surgical procedures. It is Sue’s goal to ensure your surgery is safe and comfortable and to help facilitate patients’ recovery process.
